Dear music lovers and friends,

after the success of the previous edition of the Competition in 2018 I am very glad to welcome you in Tel Aviv to the third edition of International music Competition „Classic Winds“ from the 1st to the 5th of March 2020. This special competition is dedicated to both single reed woodwind instruments of the classical music world: the Saxophone and Clarinet.

We hope this competition will encourage young artists from all over the world to learn from each other and to express their passion about music and their beloved instruments to the audience during the whole competition.

Looking forward for our time together with a lot of wonderful music experiences. I wish you good time in Tel Aviv, a lot of inspiration and good luck!

Dear Participants and Music Lovers!

We are proud to announce the third edition of “Classic Winds” International Festival organized by the European Foundation for Support of Culture which will take place in Tel Aviv in March 2020.

Following up on the traits of Valletta 2018 European Capital of Culture, we are very happy to announce that in the Final Round of the competition the compulsory composition will be by the well-known contemporary Maltese composer Alexey Shor. We are looking forward to welcome participants of "Classic Winds" International Festival from all over the world.

The mission of the European Foundation for Support of Culture through the presentation of this Festival is to discover, promote, support and document the great masters for wind instruments emerging in this generation; to rediscover unusual repertoire while providing audiences with a unique musical experience; to build the audiences of the future to help ensure the very existence of classical music.

With so many artistic achievements to its credit, the European Foundation for Support of Culture looks forward towards the continued success of its classical music projects in the future.
